Please find below a post from another forum regarding Chinese Water dragons that were stolen from the Aquatic Centre (or Aquacadabra) on Monday. If anyone has heard anything, or knows anything about these little guys, please feel free to respond to this or contact the Aquatic centre. Any help in finding them would be much appreciated.


" Between 1 and half 2 this afternoon (14.12.09) someone came into the Aquatic Center (or aquacadabra to its friends) in Edinburgh, managed to open a locked viv and stole six water dragons.

One part of the lock was still in the viv, however the round part is also missing, making them wonder if someone had a key (its a pretty universal lock) and tried their luck, and slipped the second half of the lock in their pockets.

However they managed it, the baby dragons are gone. They were the teeniest little things possible. absolutely gorgeous, and now they are probably dead or hurt from being roughly handled and taken out in the freezing temps that are outside today For those of you who dont know I used to work in the shop, and i am still close to the woman who runs the shop and cares for the animals, and its killing us thinking someone would do something so cruel!

Its breaking my heart and the owners heart... We just want to know if the babies are okay. The police have been involved but if the dragons are returned then charges wont be pressed. Its about the safety of the dragons, not the money or anything else.

So please please if you know anything about this, hear about it, or hear of anyone trying to sell baby water dragons dodgily in the Edinburgh area in the next wee while, please inform the police."

I'm looking for info on the military style bootcamp that happens on the Meadows, but a quick google search is throwing up at least 6 or 7 different and credible looking things of this ilk, does anyone know more info about this? Is there just one bootcamp on the meadows, or are there actually 7 going on each weekend?

Has anyone been to one of them? Or would particularly recommend one?

Me: I have a mean cat and am really broke and pretty much don't own anything of value.

I'd really appreciate if you could leave any feedback on my LJ instead of all the comm's i've crossposted too thankies :)

I am looking for recommendations on two kinds of vids.

The first one might seem a little odd, but I am looking for vids whose song feels ironic in that it seems not to match up to what is shown - like it's upbeat but the images are brutal or it's placid though the images are frightening so that the viewer is dealing with a sort of cognitive dissonance between their eyes and their ears. Does that make any sense? I'll clarify if not. I think the music probably has to be on the lighter side of things and the images on the darker side of the emotional range for it to work out the way I am thinking because when the image is disturbing and the music is happy, it forces the viewer to rethink the music and read it as eerie or strange whereas if the image is light and happy and the music is shocking, we're more likely to use the song like we usually do in vidding to re-read the images and read something sinister into an otherwise unquestioned situation in the visual source. I'm not sure why that difference is. I'm not sure anyone's going to understand this but I have a sort of idea germinating and I'm trying to nurture it.

My other request is for any and all vids based on classical Hollywood movies especially anything slash or femmeslash. I have seen "Clair de Lune" and am interested in seeing others.

I watched HIMYM. The episode didn't do much for me (or anything, really) except for the fact that Cigarettes and Chocolate Milk played in the background. That was good. The Big Bang Theory, on the other hand, I enjoyed quite a bit.
