David, I often felt a sort of envy of human beings and that thing they call 'spirit'. Human beings had created a million explanations of the meaning of life in art, in poetry, in mathematical formulas. Certainly, human beings must be the key to the meaning of existence, but human beings no longer existed.

So, we began a project that would make it possible to recreate the living body of a person long dead from the DNA in a fragment of bone or mummified skin. We also wondered, would it be possible to retrieve a memory trace in resonance with a recreated body. And do you know what we found? We found... the very fabric of space-time itself appeared to store information about every event which had ever occured in the past.

But the experiment... was a failure. For those who were resurrected only lived through a single day of renewed life. When the resurrectees fell asleep on the night of their first new day, they died, again. As soon as they became unconscious, their very existence faded away into darkness. So you see, David, the equations have shown that once an individual space-time pathway had been used, it could not be reused. If we bring your mother back now, it will only be for one day, and then you'll never be able to see her again.

DAVID

DAVID

weird tuesday. the good things were really good and nice, but the bad things were MASSIVE fuck-ups (nothing that involved me directly but still). i feel so mentally and emotionally tired i just want to go to bed and fall in a comma. doesn't help that i've been waking up at 6 in the morning for the last two weeks, weekends included. i'll post some more when i feel a bit more coherent.

there seems to be quite an interest among my friends regarding what would i think of summer glau joining the dollhouse, so i thought i'd put on my Important Person suit and address this matter publicly.

Albricias y alboroto, aquí llega por segundo año el Día Internacional del Femslash y como el año pasado nos lo pasamos tan bien y hubo tanto amor y todo fue tan bonito, rivasilvercrown me dijo hace unas semanas que dónde estaba este post. Y voilá y esas cosas que se dicen, varias semanas después, porque ponerlo dos meses antes de la fecha parecía un poco excesivo :)

Para quienes hayáis participado en otras ediciones, ya sean las de Navidad o la Femslasher del año pasado, ya sabéis cómo funciona el tema así que adelante, no os cortéis. Para los que no, así brevemente:

Amigo Invisible (sólo que en realidad la invisibilidad es opcional)! Temática femslash! Abierto a todo el mundo, a todos los fandoms, a todas las calificaciones y a todas las formas de vida!

Para participar sólo hay que hacer dos cosas:

1 - Contestar a este post con una lista de qué pairings/situaciones/kinks te gustaría que te escribieran. Podéis estiraros todo lo que querais o pedir sólo una cosa, pero tened en cuenta que en el segundo caso vais a estar limitando bastante el radio de acción de los escritores. Podéis concretar hasta donde os apetezca o limitaros a poner el pairing. A gusto del consumidor todo.

2 - La parte importante: Después de pedir vuestros fics, volved a pasaros por el post. Pasaros unas cuantas veces hasta el día 18 de Julio (y bueno, después también, por qué no). Leed las peticiones de los demás y (esta es la parte importante) escribidlas. No tiene por qué ser en anónimo y no importa que a esa persona ya le hayan respondido alguna petición. Podéis contestar a todas las que querais, todas las veces que querais y como os dé la gana.

let's put it this way: if something remotely similar to judgement-day ever happens (and most of you know i believe we'll live to see some kind of global mega-fuckup), i hope the big wigs at fox are last to die.

missed the cirque du soleil performance. watched germany and dita's just in time thanks to kleiner_stern but it's almost as if i hadn't, given how the camera ignored her for the best part of the song.

i always get a sick pleasure of seeing, after weeks of hearing "we're among the favourites" and "europe loves us!", the spanish team land on its face. that's the only part of this show i enjoy xD and this year it's being GLORIOUS.

edit: the cirque's performance is up already, and i think that's actually mark halasi as icarus!

dollhouse has been renewed and i'm going to try and hold on to this nice feeling now, see if i can keep a bit of it when they cancel terminator this week.

the best case scenario for my favourite series in years was "maybe dollhouse will make it. maybe". how sad is that? T____T
